The Copenhagen X Sessions - a branded music platform

MEC in Copenhagen has developed The Copenhagen X Sessions for Sony Ericsson. It´s basically an online music platform made social created in a joint partnership between Roskilde Festival and Sony Ericsson. The artists has been carefully selected from the upcoming scene in Denmark. To play on more senses the Copenhagen X sessions are live and audiovisual performances with choreography or videoart created by Good Boy Creative with all experiences being interlinked in wellknown social networks.

The first sessions recorded and released are from the Danish bands – I Got you on Tape, Giana Factory and Sleep Party People. New sessions are released every week continuing to September. Coming up is 18 X Sessions, with 18 different bands, and 70 unique recordings.

What makes this even stronger is that Sony Ericsson officially has teamed up with Roskilde Festival this year becoming their first official Social Media Partner helping people amplyfying their festival experience before, during and after the festival.

The Twitter machine Caroline Wozniacki

I have to speak my mind about how Caroline Wozniacki (@CaroWozniacki), the Danish tennis player, is using Twitter. I got this update earlier: "Just woke up 30 min ago.. So nice to be able to sleep in. Ate breakfast and now going to the site in a little bit." Look at the stream - filled with uninteresting and unpersonal updates. This is old school TV commercials in a Twitter uniform - not the best match if I was the judge! If you are a dedicated fan this is for sure interesting, but I just feel that she could do it differently. In general I´m not a fan of dictating how and what to use a medium for. For sure I could just unfollow her - and I probably will, but girl I believe you could benefit from a short Twitter tutorial (how to...), while being more loose and unpredictable in your communication behaviour. I will bet my old Head racket that you will gain more followers, and if you want a 100% honest advice DM me @marketear. Good luck tomorrow!

Just another update #Sweden

The situation ahead is: New country, new job, and of course the most important thing: A girlfriend to see. I´m so lucky that I will be sticking to the same media shop, where I´ve spent the last 5 years: MEC. It´s now official that Mediaedge:cia has changed their name to MEC, finally! Yes, that´s the status right now. These days I´m in a vaccuum between ending my Copenhagen living and starting out my new Stockholm life. Friday last week was my final work day at MEC Copenhagen – the company where I have most of my worklife experience from (which is not just serving a beer or carrying stuff) – and the place where I´ve met all these awesome people. From start April – meaning tomorrow - it´s still MEC, but now with Stockholm as base.

When you move - it is always a question of throwing away stuff or keeping it. I asked my selected and loving Twitter stream for help on this question. It resulted in giving away most of my clothes, keeping only the selected good stuff. Always a pleasure to get social feedback and support for an important decision to take. Just a minor thing I wanted to share...

So far I have put together my IKEA wardrobe for the relative little clothes I kept, set up my Spotify and Voddler account and I feel ready for the new challenges. Hopefully, this shift will kickstart new blog posts. Hooray and happy easter!
